It all started with Charles, the English Bulldog. Charles was living in New York City, and his people wanted to keep him warm during the harsh winters, but finding clothes to fit his short legs and thick body wasn’t easy. So, an online store was born, catering dog clothes to one of the most popular dog breeds in America. That’s when a simple question was asked: “How can I automatically find my competitors and price my products in the market?” And so it began.

Cutting-Edge Technology

Founders Rodrigo Carvalho, Francisco Uribe and Lukas Bouvrie met while finishing graduate degrees at Carnegie Mellon, and started talking about the idea. Working with a student’s sense of resourcefulness, the trio developed a patent-pending machine learning algorithm to automatically find competitors on the web. This matching technology is highly sophisticated, matching competitive products based on a multitude of attributes. (Hey, dog clothes don’t always have brand names.) We’re able to match with up to 98% accuracy.

The founding trio went on, winning customers, competitions and awards. They’ve acquired funding, built a team, and improved the application. Today, it’s the leading application in eCommerce Competitive Pricing Analysis, serving small eTailers to those on the Internet Retailer’s Top 100 List.

This is How We Win Today

We use our own product. Seriously. We have the company divided into teams, with each team supporting an eCommerce store. We then use our own service to find our eCommerce competitive analysis and in friendly manner, compete with each other on profits.

Our users define the experience. “User experience” isn’t just a vocab word for us. We put our muscle behind working with some of the top user experience designers and architects in the country. We painstakingly watch our customers use our web application. We work closely with our customers, involving them in the product design, usability and feature development.

We believe in actionable information. What good is data if you don’t know what to do with it? We believe in providing not too much and not too little, just enough. We intend to deliver smart information, competitive analysis and intelligence that simplifies action.
